It is always interesting to observe when specific health behaviours become accepted by so many people that it almost becomes a universal truth.
A reference point that everybody accepts, without even trying to understand the underlying mechanisms or the science that said claim is based upon.
Many misunderstood dogmas have over the years come and gone. It can take 10 years before new science - or old for that matter - become integrated into the consciousness of people and become integrated as a part of the way we speak about something. The points we use as references.
When it come to diet it is no different. Autoimmune diets, Vegan diets, LCHF, KETO, Fasting, High carb Low Fat, Carnivore, Vegetarian, Mediterranean diet, you name it and it part of some peoples diet regimen somewhere in the world.
Now this study - though it is observational and therefore should be taken with some precaution - looked at the LCHF diet and its correlation to heart disease. Specifically to Heart attack, stroke, and blockage of the arteries.
The results : LCHF/Keto diet increased the chance of those events by more than two times.
Again the study was based on self reported food intake but still it is relevant to take into consideration if you are currently Low carbing, doing keto, or just plain old scared of carbs.
