Is it important in a high performance culture, to be aware of our wellbeing if we aspire to be good colleagues, helpful supportive, and inclusive?

Our level of wellbeing will affect our emotional wellbeing, which will affect our

actions towards others.

Mirror neurons are a big part of our survival system, and how you relate to your emotions matters in the context of activating them in others.

“The neural circuits activated in a person carrying out actions, expressing emotions, and experiencing sensations are activated also, automatically via a mirror neuron system, in the observer of those actions, emotions, and sensations.”

If you smile to a colleague they will most likely smile back.

If you show them you care they will care too.

If you are stressed out, talk fast and raise your voice, you will get that same response in return.

Mirror neuron can even be activated by watching other people’s actions.

So be mindful about how you act because your colleagues will most definitely mirror your actions.
